What happens next

We read what you wrote. And group the work you described into role clusters. Usually there are fewer clusters than there are job titles.

We set target roles against them. Internal role profiles that match the drivers you named, with the skills that would have to grow for each.

We send the overview across. As a document you can pass on, together with a suggested slot to walk through it together.

You correct us. A first pass from the outside gets some of it wrong. That is exactly what the conversation is for.

About the data

The scan needs no personal data about your employees, and we do not want any. Every question is about roles, units and orders of magnitude. Your own contact details are used to send the overview and agree a slot.

What the scan is not

Not an automated assessment. No algorithm runs across your answers and returns a result a second later. The overview is put together by hand at our end and reaches you a few days after you submit.

Not an assessment of people. We ask about roles and units, not about names, performance or potential. Please do not enter anything of that kind either.

Not a quote and not an invoice. Nothing follows from the scan by obligation. If the overview is of no use to you, it ends there.

Codetermination

What that means for codetermination

Section 92 BetrVG
The works council must be informed about personnel planning including vocational training measures, in good time, comprehensively and on the basis of documents. The overview from the scan is one such document, early and in readable form.
Section 94 BetrVG
Assessment guidelines require the works council's consent. A skill profile held per employee very probably falls under this. That is precisely why the scan asks at cluster level and not about individuals.
Section 97 (2) BetrVG
Where an employer measure changes the work of employees so that their knowledge no longer suffices, the works council has a right of codetermination on introducing vocational training measures. That is the situation you describe in the scan.

Filling in the scan together with the works council is not a detour. It is the shortest route to a plan that does not get stopped later.
