Learning paths

One programme is rarely the whole route.

A learning path orders programmes and practical phases so it ends with the role, not with a pile of certificates.

One path per target role, not one per person

The starting point

Why a single programme does not close the gap

The highest ranked programme covers most of it, but not all. The remaining stretch decides.

Product view

The learning path to the target role

Four stations building on each other, with a supervised practical phase at the end. The duration is the sum of the stations.

  6. Target role reached

    Automation technician

Sets up automated lines, programmes sequences and clears faults on controls and robotics.

Qualification is finished when someone can do the new work on the line, not when a course ends.

In detail

One path per target role, not one per person

Individual development plans fail on sheer volume. A path is signed off once per target role.

What follows from that

Deviation instead of redesign. If someone already has a skill, the station drops out. Same path, just shorter.

One path, several origins. Machining and maintenance reach the same target role along the same path, entering at different points.

Approved once, used many times. An approved path is a company decision, agreed once.

Comparable across units. Two plants building the same target role can merge cohorts.

What a learning path is not

Not a recognised occupation. Target roles are in-house role profiles. They do not replace formal vocational training and grant no qualification.

Not a fixed timetable. Dates, order and practical share are agreed with the line, because production keeps running.

Not an assessment of people. A path describes a route, not suitability. QualiShift does not carry out performance appraisals.

Next step

A path becomes a measure once a group walks it

Only when enough people take the same route does a provider set a date for it.
